Jeff Seal Homes of Distinction

This past week we went on a tour of local high end homes in the Lubbock area. They were built by a firm called Jeff Seal Homes. Each house is built with a specific “theme” such as French Provincial, or other such European styles. These homes were absolutely gorgeous because of the attention to detail and the materials Jeff Seal uses. For example, he uses slate roof tiles, and custom built furniture pieces. He also keeps everything in line with the “theme” including the windows, molding and other details that most builders overlook.
Jeff Seal himself showed us two different homes in construction. The first house was pretty much done.  The first thing I noticed from the entrance was the ceiling which had a groin vault. We were then shown the kitchen which had a brick roof, and a brick oven laid in a herringbone pattern. They had already put in hardwood floors which are another unique feature of Jeff Seal Homes, because they use real hardwood, instead of the more popular engineered wood. Seal also has the wood hand scraped and stained after it has been installed in the house. There were many another amazing features including an atrium area, casement windows, and heated floors in the master bathroom.
The second home was still in the process of being framed, but even in that stage the house was astounding. It was an extremely large house. The entrance contained a dome in the ceiling and a large double grand staircase. It also had two master suites, a large kitchen, a piano room and a few other rooms downstairs. Upstairs had other spaces including two other bedrooms, a kitchenette, a music room, and a game room.
All things considered, I was very impressed with Jeff Seal Homes. They think about every aspect of a project and it really shows, even in a partially finished house. The houses were amazing, and I would love to work for them at some point in the future.
